Simulation of underground storage / UM EL-Radhuma Formation-Ratawi field

The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility underground storage gas in Um El-Radhuma formation /Ratawi field. This an aquifer consisting a high permeable dolomitebeds overlain by impermeable anhydrite bed Rus formation. Interactive petrophysics (IP), Petrel REand Eclipse 100 softwares were used conduct well log interpretation, build reservoir simulationmodel and predict behavior during respectively. A black oil, three dimensionaland two phase fluid model has been used. results showed that upper part El-Radhumaformation suitable for storage, because seal its cap rock capability ofreserving reservoir. It was found available volume 14.3 billion cubic feetwith structural closure 45 m. optimum injection rate calculated also.
